My mother had pretty panties...

When I was a little girl my Mom let me and my sister play with some of her vintage dresses. I remember our favorite one was a black velvet number with a hundred tiny white pearl buttons down the back. When I would try it on as a little girl it went to the floor. As I got older it was always in a back closet somewhere in our house, but we would pull it out every once in a while for special homemade "music video" moments. The older I got the shorter the dress became. When I was about 14 I reached the same height as my Mom, and then I understood. This was what she called "a pretty panty dress". I realized at that point vintage clothes had many, many stories to tell. I love saving them from forgotten closets and giving them a chance to make new stories!
